DR. DANILO CASTRO SUAREZ

I was born in 1954, entered the Faculty of Medicine of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay (UDELAR) in 1972 where I graduated with a Master Degree of Surgeons in 1984. Then I decided my PhD in surgery and did my PhD in this discipline, doing the same the first study in Uruguay ultrasonic "Doppler" vascular surgery (which preceded the Ecodoppler). This earned me the award Uruguay surgery in 1983 and later in Argentina research award "E. Beláusteguy "in 1987.
I conducted my first research in the Surgical Clinic "F" of the University Hospital of Montevideo, led by Prof. Dr. Luis A. Meadows, where I held various positions: internal, research assistant and then Assistant Surgeon or Grade 2. I was able to make interventions that span the entire breadth of surgical techniques with internships in various services such as CTI, Emergency, ENT and Gastroenterology and realized applications of the different surgical techniques, making up microsurgical procedures, a technique that just started in Uruguay.
As Cosmetic Surgery in Uruguay did not exist as defined graduate, for only into the 90's the plastic surgery graduate became of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, I decided to do my specialization in aesthetics, in different services and clinics outside. Thus, from 1986 to 1991 took courses in advanced surgery cosmetic surgery in Buenos Aires in the Juri Clinic of the city and continued perfection in this discipline by various countries of America and Brazil, Chile and Mexico and Europe such as France, Spain, Italy and Germany.

In 2004 I was invited to work in Germany, conducting research in the area of ​​Biomedical Engineering, developed the technique of laser-assisted surgeries and various treatments of Photo Dynamic Therapy or PDT as it is known by its acronym in English. I worked for 3 years on a part time Laboratory Biolitec AG of Germany - in the cities of Bonn and Jena - developing research that went on in our country and are worth the authorship and co-author of 6 patents in the U.S. research, one of which is currently being developed in the European Community.

We always share with each colleague to our knowledge never asked or attempted to be unique and make us better than anyone. Yes, we know we have mastered an anesthetic technique that is ideal for cosmetic surgery and ensuring the patient a total absence of risk when performing the procedure.
Anyway, I am absolutely convinced that only you, my patients were, are and will be truly judge my work. Some have not been satisfied, very few exceeded the limits of the physician-patient relationship but we are aware that most accepted and was satisfied with our work. Clearly, the mere fact of living in a profession developed as free exercise of it for 25 consecutive years in a market as small as the critical and Uruguayan makes unnecessary any other credentials besides what his patients have been given.
This driving force, a true "vis a tergo" of the profession is what always kept me ever forward and continue to grow despite all difficulties. They were always defined our patients that we are capable of providing and are our friends who know my perseverance, struggle and reciliencia.
